Frequently Asked Questions

I offer online counselling across Australia and New Zealand designed to support people who have experienced religious trauma. I help people to rebuild their identity, explore their spirituality and meaning-making, and to process grief and loss after leaving institutional religion. Everything is tailored to move at your unique pace, with no agenda for outcomes other than to support your healing and recovery from religious harm.

My understanding of spiritual trauma combines lived experience and professional knowledge. My compassionate, human-centered approach does two things: joins with you where you are and provides tools to help you process trauma and get unstuck. I do this by working gently alongside you to explore what is going on underneath the surface, and helping you understand your experiences by making meaning based on your own inner wisdom.

I recognise it takes courage to reach out to a therapist, so I will respond promptly. You can reach me via my email on my contact page. I aim to respond quickly—usually within one to two business days.

$160 full fee ($140 concession).
Sessions typically begin as weekly or fortnightly, but this is flexible. We can adjust this, according to what is helpful for you. As therapy progresses, sessions tend to become further apart, often becoming monthly. A client agreement about payment will be discussed and shared during our initital conversation.

I’m warm, genuinely care about recovery from trauma, and have a wealth of experience and knowledge to draw on. I’m a creative person, and a non-linear thinker. This means I might share a poem or a fairy story with you, or ask you to think about the things that make you feel most like “you”, and use them as part of your therapy.
